From Our Bunch To Yours

Hi everyone, Sonia here. Hope you all had a good Christmas and New year's. Ours was good. I took a few days off from work to spend more time with Katie and her brother Kyle while they were on vacation. It's difficult to spend any quality time with them since I work different day shifts. Darrell, my husband, works nights so family time is really hard to come by. We have to almost schedule it in.

I'm hoping that you will go check out a friend's blog.http://fromourbunchtoyours.blogspot.com/ Her name is Lori and she is a vital part of Smiles For Haiti. She is our direct link to the children that we are collecting the donations for. Without her we would be lost. So please go check out her sight and show your support.

We will be sending out our first donations in the next couple of weeks. So if you have not donated yet and want to, there is still time. Just drop us a line and we'll let you know how.

hey katie, it's lori! - just wanted you to know that the other agency we support (that you've listed on your blog) is real hope for haiti - it's run by 2 young women (licia & lori) & i went to school with them!! - i've known them all my life, know they families very well, used to attend church with them before them moving to haiti, etc. - they're a fabulous agency & although they don't do adoptions, they love the haitian people & love living there - whenever there's children available for adoption, they contact barbara & she facilitates their adoptions for them - a real neat story is this... they were starting a 'sponsor a child for school program' last january - spike & i decided we'd sponsor a teen girl since we've got brittan, they could keep in touch with one another - well, to make a long story short, my parents decided to adopt her (she's 14) & should be coming home in the next week or so - also, she's got a sister 7y that's being adopted by spike's sister & her husband so the 2 girls will live just 10 minutes from one another!!

alright, talk to you soon
